OUGD406: Studio Brief 03 - Exhibition Branding (Moodboards for Further Ideas)

During the next group meet up, Dylan presented three mood boards which represented three more concepts that we felt we could potentially go through with.

Security UV based theme

As previously discussed, the security UV is something that we thought could potentially work, making for a really engaging experience when visiting the exhibition. The only real problem we found with it though is that it would be hard to see the work in such dark conditions for the UV to actually work. The one thing we did want to take from this though was the UV feedback wall as this is something that could work on it's own, in one corner of the room and wouldn't affect the displayed bank notes.

Minimalist/ Modern Theme

This theme was put forward by Dylan as with a lot of exhibitions often the branding is very subtle and minimal to avoid taking away from the work, incorporating simple shapes and bits of type could make for an effective wayfinding system and also allow for the pieces of work to shine through rather than the exhibition branding taking over.
1930's Business Theme

The last mood board shows off the 1930's business theme that would make use of old furniture and also old frames to showcase the work, having a mixture of different size and style frames to encompass the bank notes. Doing this would help to fill up the large amounts of space within the room.
