OUGD406: Studio Brief 03 - Exhibition Branding (Feedback on Final 4 Groups Presentation's)

After our last presentation, the original 11 groups were then narrowed down to 4 groups, one of which was our group. So as a whole, both Simon and Danny gave feedback to us and then also individually what each group did well and could have improved. This was done so that each group could pick up on things to improve that may have been directed at another group.

The big point they mentioned with our presentation was the consistency of our branding across posters, social media etc. originally we presented our name as NOT£$ in our first presentation then within the second one it was NOT£$ NOT£$ NOT£$, although this was done as a design feature and not the actual name being said three times over, this wasn't clear to those on the judging side. Along with that, we had a square as a prominent shape within all of our designs yet some of our posters were rectangle shaped, this was something that should stay consistent, to have the posters square to fit with the ongoing theme.

Another point they made, not just to our group, but as a whole to every group was to produce actual physical pieces of work. So printing our posters, invitations and any other pieces that would be put into the exhibition was key for not only for submission but for the actual pitch as well. Considering with our group we had this idea of having cubes that would be placed within the room it would be ideal to physically make these cubes to have at the pitch to show rather than using mockups on screen.

One thing they mentioned that would be good to use consistently throughout our branding was this idea of the colour halftone split, not just on the windows but as an identity as it represents the traditional analogue printing methods involved with the bank notes within the exhibition.
