OUGD406: Studio Brief 03 - Exhibition Branding (Andy Warhol's Dollar Piece & Poster Designs)

Given one of our strongest ideas was the 60's inspired and around that time Andy Warhol's work was popular, one of his pieces the dollar sign was somewhat of an inspiration to us especially considering the fact that it was a dollar symbol was relevant to the exhibition.

Baring this style in mind, we decided to go through with the 60's theme and push this as our main inspiration behind the exhibition branding. From there the group produced a mixture of posters combining different typefaces and colours in the hope to create an identity for the exhibition.

Some examples of poster designs:

All of these posters were heavily influenced by the 60's theme but also the main concept behind the posters was to incorporate this idea of currency symbols to create a more solid identity for the exhibition but also something that could be used within the way finding of our exhibition.

The typeface used is 'Mexcellent 3D' and was chosen because of how it fits in well with the colourful style of work we were going with.
